The Canadian National Railway blue devils started life as Locomotive management services c40-8w locomotives Locomotive management services was owned by conrail the locomotives got a conrail blue paint scheme But Instead of saying conrail on the side there was just LMS on the front and side when Conrail was split between Norfolk southern and Csx most of the LMS c40-8w's Went to Csx but 12 units were sold to the Illinois Central Railroad in 1999 but that Same year Canadian national bought The Illinois central and got the 12 locomotives The locomotives then Got a ginormous white Canadian national noodle logo on the side and for some units the front They were Reanumbered to 2455 to 2466 those would be there numbers forever

These Locomotives did not have a perfect safety record in 2012 2464 crashed into two other trains Destroying the locomotive every Are there locomotives continued on In service until 2021 when Canadian national Begin retiring the general electric — 8 locomotives Which included the blue devils In 2022 the only operating locomotives were 2457 2463 2465 and 2466 But 2463 and 2465 disappeared off the face of the earth and 2457 Was sold to Larry's truck and electric 2463 came back for 2 months but What's put back in storage again The only operating blue devil As of when I'm writing Is 2466
