St. Petersburg Art Academy in Florence St. Petersburg Art Academy in Florence was found in 2017 in collaboration with I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture - one of the oldest higher art institutions in Russia. The main objective of this partnership is to bring the authentic methods of teaching the classical skills of drawing, painting, restoration and conservation that have been successfully taught during the last 260 years of the Academy’s existence to Italy. All the professors are thoroughly selected from the leading artists of I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Didactic program consists of a variety of disciplines like: academic painting and drawing: portrait as well as nude figure and figure in movement, city landscape, short etudes, sketching, techniques and technologies of painting materials, artistic anatomy, easel painting restoration and conservation, copying, history of art and others. Academy’s courses are designed to allow the young artists to find their own artistic way and to give a strong support in their further personal development. Apart from Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD’s fundamental educational programs, there is an opportunity to join different workshops and short-term courses. St. Petersburg’s Art Academy in Florence activity is not limited only to educational objectives, it is actively participating in organization of exhibitions and special events. One of the latest projects – “Two ways” by Oscar Rabine and Tatyana Lysak-Polischuk, held in November 2018. St. Petersburg Art Academy in Florence is honored to be located in the city center in a unique 15th century palace, named Palazzo di Cosimo Ridolfi.
