[edit]Lord Crucifier were a UK-based Italian thrash metal band active from 1983 until 1992. The band formed in Italy under the moniker Haze, re-naming themselves Lord Crucifier. The founding members were Cozy Spike, Hun Gree and Karmein. In 1985, having recorded their first demo-tape ('Cataclism Tape'), the band relocated to the UK where, after support slots of mainly Hardcore Punk bands of the era, recorded in 1987 their 'Myra's Tape' demotape which gained record label interest. Their only album release was 'The Focus of Life' in 1988, through Metalworks Records. In 1988 the band added to their ranks guitarist Adam Lehan whose stay, however, proved to be short-lived. Subsequently, the band recorded two further demo-tapes ('Who do You Trust?' - 1989, and an untitled and undistributed demo in 1991) before disbanding in 1992. Although strictly speaking Lord Crucifier's style of music falls within the Thrash Metal sub-genre, the band had many Progressive Rock overtones in their unorthodox approach.
