Real Hotels Group resulting from the merger, in 2020, from two national hotelier groups, brand owners HOTÉIS REAL and NEWPALM, operator of IHG's Holiday Inn Express, becoming the biggest merge in portuguese hotelier industry from last decade, with 16 hotels and 2100 rooms, along Lisbon, Porto and Algarve.

The group has sixteen units in Porto, Lisboa, Costa do Estoril and Algarve. In 1994, the old Hotéis Real, opened Hotel Real Parque, a 4 star hotel, with 153 rooms and located in Lisbon. Three years later, in 1997, was the time of Real Residência - Touristic Apartments, with 24 apartments and studios, in the same city. In 2002 was inaugurated Real Bellavista Hotel & Spa, also a 4 star hotel, in Albufeira, with 193 rooms and Spa. In 2003, opened Hotel Real Oeiras, a 4 star hotel, with 100 rooms and located in Oeiras, on Costa do Estoril. In the same year it was inaugurated Hotel Real Palácio, a 5 star hotel, located in Lisbon city centre in an old Palace from XVII century, with a total of 147 rooms, which 12 of them are included inside the Palace. In 2004 Grande Real Santa Eulália Hotel & Resort Spa was inaugurated, a 5 star hotel, in Albufeira, in front of Santa Eulália's beach. This hotel has 344 rooms and Spa. Grande Real Villa Itália Hotel & Spa, a 5 star hotel, open his doors in 2007, in Cascais, facing the bay, the result of the adaption the old house of the last King of Italy, Humberto II. It has 124 rooms, Spa and three restaurants. In 2010 were inaugurated in Olhão, Real Marina Hotel & Spa, a 5 star hotel, in front of Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, with 144 rooms and Spa, and Real Marina Residence, under the same natural park, with 80 apartments and access to Hotel's facilities. Most recently, in 2018, was inaugurated Maxime Hotel, a boutique hotel in Praça da Alegria in Lisbon, inspired in the world of cabaret and burlesco, paying tribute to the iconic Maxime that in 1920s was located there. It's 75 rooms, which 5 of them are thematic, a pateo and a restaurant where shows take place. In 2020, Newpalm acquired Hotéis Real, gathering to his portfolio more 6 hotels Holiday Inn Express in franchise regime. Holiday Inn Express Porto Exponor, was the first unit to be inaugurated, in 2009, with 134 rooms, located in Leça da Palmeira, on Porto. Still in 2009, it's inaugurated Hotel Holiday Inn Express Lisboa Aeroporto, located in Prior Velho, with 120 rooms. In 2012, open, in Lisbon, Holiday Inn Express Lisboa Alfragide with 128 rooms and in the next year, in 2013, it's inaugurated in Lisbon downtown Hotel Holiday Inn Express Lisboa - Avenida da Liberdade, with 108 rooms, result of the refurbishing of a building of the year 1900 which features Lisbon from the XX century. In 2019 opened the most recent hotels of the group, Hotel Holiday Inn Express Porto City Centre, in Santa Catarina street in Porto City centre, with 105 rooms, and Holiday Inn Express Lisboa Plaza Saldanha, with 108 rooms, in Lisbon city centre.
