Omoda is a Dutch shoe retailer. It's a family company established in 1875 by the Verton family. It has the headquarters in Zierikzee, Zeeland, Netherlands. The webstore ships world wide, but has his focus on the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria and the USA.
History
[edit]The company has been in shoe industries from 1875. The first physical 'Verton Schoenen' shoe store has been opened in 1961 in Zierikzee by Lourus-Jan and Mina Verton, a few years later in 1987 stores followed in Middelharnis, Vlissingen and Middelburg. In 1987 their first son Lourus Verton joined the family business. Later on in 1994 their other son Wilhelm Verton joined the family business. The company is currently led by Lourus and Wilhelm. The name 'Verton Schoenen' has been changed in the year 2000 to 'Omoda'. Nowadays there are 22 stores in the Netherlands and 1 in Belgium. The webstore has been founded in 2007.[1]
