Community Days and Events[edit]

Throughout the year, various community days and events are held where certain Pokémon are available at increased rates. Shiny variants of Pokémon also appear more frequently during these events. They largely center around global holidays, though some are simply just for rare encounters. Furthermore, players are often rewarded with increased candies, egg hatching rates, experience, items, and stardust. As of January 27, 2019, 14 community days have taken place or been scheduled and 56 events have taken place.
