X-3 is an American Alternative rock band with a transhumanist cyberpunk image founded by Thomas D.
Origins[edit]
X-3 was originated in Russia, where it gave a couple of performances which had a great success and recorded its demo album. The band, originally having 5 members (Thomas D, Stepan Durandin, Mikhail Durandin, Alexandr Lazarev and Konstantin Antonov), dissolved because Konstantin Antonov was drafted to the army, Alexandr Lazarev entered a college and then was drafted as well, and nobody except for Thomas D considered music as a career in general. Thomas D, who's been with the band all that time, decided he's had enough with his life Russia and immigrated to the USA in June 2012, where he manages his one-member band.
Lyrics[edit]
X-3's lyrics, which are mainly in English, are about many subjects, such as desolation, desire to run away, amatory, political and fictional lyrics. Thomas D's impression of the power abuse in Russia, in particular human rights violation during the May, 06 2012 protests in Moscow, reflect in the subject matter of many songs by X-3, such as Riot:
