Scotland[edit]

Church of Scotland (Presbyterian)[edit]

The Church of Scotland is not governed by bishops, so does not have cathedrals in the episcopal sense of the word. Instead, the term "High Kirk" indicates a Church of Scotland congregation that uses a building known as a cathedral prior to the Reformation. These buildings continue to be known as cathedrals and are listed thus below.
