High Alpha is an American venture studio and venture capital firm based in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. High Alpha specializes in building and investing in B2B software-as-a-service and enterprise cloud companies.[1]
Firm[edit]
High Alpha was founded by Scott Dorsey, Eric Tobias, Kristian Andersen, and Mike Fitzgerald in 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana. In June of 2015, High Alpha raised $35 million in their first fund to create, operate, and fund enterprise cloud software companies.[2] In July of 2018, High Alpha raised another $100 million for their second fund.[3][4]
High Alpha is backed by Emergence Capital, Foundry Group, Greenspring Associates, Hyde Park Venture Partners, and a number of strategic angel investors.[2][5]
High Alpha Studio[edit]
High Alpha is comprised of two entities, High Alpha Studio and High Alpha Capital. High Alpha Studio is a startup studio that creates, operates, and scales new enterprise cloud companies.[6]
High Alpha Studio’s portfolio includes Lessonly, Visible, Sigstr, Zylo, Pattern89, Structural, Anvl, and MetaCX.[7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15] Former portfolio companies that have been acquired include Octiv, ClearScholar, and Doxly.[16][17][18]
High Alpha Capital[edit]
High Alpha Capital is the direct investment arm of High Alpha with over $105 million in assets under management[19]. The fund makes direct investments in both High Alpha Studio companies and independent startups.[20]
The High Alpha Capital portfolio includes investments made in High Alpha Studio companies as well as investments in G2, Narvar, project44, SalesLoft, Terminus, Attentive, CrowdRiff, Dwolla, and many more .[7][21][22][23]
