I'm currently writing the article for Witchcraft and the Gay Counterulture:

Witchcraft and the Gay Counterculture is an anthropological work by activist Arthur Evans, examining the relationship between the marginalisation of the LGBT community and the historic treatment of witches in medieval Europe. The book has been influential in queer and pagan circles, particularly on the founding of groups such as the Radical Faeries.[1]

Contents[edit]

The bulk of the book is dedicated to chronicling the relationship between the history of gay people, and the history of witchcraft; it should be noted that Evans does not specifically reference the witch cult hypothesis, instead preferring to view witchcraft as the surviving remnants of folk religions across Europe, rather than a unified belief system.
