User:Dl2000/DateFix
User:Dl2000/DateFix.js is an unceremonious customisation of User:Ohconfucius/MOSNUM dates.js. Benefits and bugs alike in this script may be due to inheritance from that script.
Some functionality of the originating MOSNUM script was stripped down (e.g. general formatting, some of the date unlinking) to speed things up a bit and to avoid some common pitfalls. Script will focus on basic national formatting e.g. dates, currency. However, this remains a work in progress and there are plenty of tweaks to do. Not all text outcomes are always be handled properly due to ambiguity, or certain types of text and markup which is not commonly encountered.
Work on this file started January 2011 - use at your own risk, and be sure to review the preview that pops up after the script is run. Bug reports are welcome here, but may also apply to the script by User:Ohconfucius.
February 2011 update - handles limited Australian currency cleanup - the dreaded AU$ abbreviation is switched to {{A$}}... usually.
