[edit]Sherman was a member of 15 scientific organizations including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Ornithologists' Union, National Audubon Society, Ecological Society of America, Cooper Ornithological Club, Iowa Ornithologists' Union (she was a charter member), Wilson Ornithological Society, American Museum of Natural History, American Society of Mammalogists and American Genetic Association.[2]
