Among the current members of the court, Clarence Thomas is the longest-serving justice, with a tenure of 12,113 days (33 years, 59 days) as of December 21, 2024; the most recent justice to join the court is Ketanji Brown Jackson, whose tenure began on June 30, 2022, after being confirmed by the Senate on April 7.[1]
