Civilian Career[edit]

Mr. Easterly currently works on the executive staff of the Garrison Commander, Fort Sill, Ok in the Plans, Analysis, and Integration Office (PAIO). He has held the position of Strategic Plans Specialist and is currently a Senior Management Analyst for an installation consisting of approximately 23,000 Soldiers, retirees, and civiilans. In 2012 Mr Easterly was 1 of only 30 selected for The Installation Management Command Mentorship Program (IMCP). During this program Mr. Easterly was able to work directly with the Director of IMCOM G1 (Senior Executive Service) and learn the ins and outs of leadership at that level. In 2014 he was selected 1 of 35 for a Development Assignment Program (DAP) at the Pentagon in the Office of the Assistance Chief of Staff for Installation Management (OACSIM). At the Pentagon Mr. Easterly he worked directly with members of the Army's Senior Executive Service and Senior level Army General Offcicers. While there he worked on multi-million dollar contracts and coordinated with 7 major Army commands for reports and staus updates to be briefed to the Assistant Secretary of the Army and then to Congress.

Mr. Easterly is a senior program manager for several installation programs. He oversee the Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) program that is available for the 23,000 paople that work, live, and visit the installation on a daily basis. This program provides valuable feed back to the installation leadership. He takes the information gathered and conducts an analyses of trends and possible Opportunities For Improvements (OFIs). He also oversaw the Army Community of Excellence (ACOE) program. The ACOE program competes all of the Installations Garrison's against each other for the Army's Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards (Fort Sill rose 23 places during his involvement in this program). Dr. Easterly has managed over $332 million dollars in Fort Sill Garrison Installation Service Contracts (ISCs). He manages the Commander's Wellness TRIAD Fitness program for a Garrison of over 600 employees.

Military Career[edit]

Thomas Easterly was born in 1963 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but raised in Detroit, Michigan. He joined the U.S. Army in April of 1987, attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, then 94B Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Lee, VA. His first duty assignment was Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 13th Corps Support Command, Fort Hood, TX. He reenlisted for Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 13E Fire Direction Specialist, and completed my second AIT at Fort Sill, OK. Further duty assignments include A Battery, 8th Battalion (Bn) 8th Field Artillery (FA), Camp Stanley, Korea; all four units (A,B,C, and HHS) in 1st Bn, 7th FA, Fort Drum, NY. I deployed with C Battery, 1st Bn, 7th FA to Florida in support of Hurricane Andrew Cleanup; and with Bravo 1st Bn, 7th FA to Haiti in support of the United Nations and American Missions “Restore Hope” and “Uphold Democracy”. He then volunteered for Drill Sergeant School in 1996. After graduating from he was assigned to B Battery then D Battery, 2nd Bn, 80th FA, Fort Sill, OK. He earned the distinction of 1998 Fort Sill Drill Sergeant of the Year. He was then assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery (HHB), 2nd Infantry Division, Division Artillery (DIVARTY), Camp Stanley, Korea as a DIVARTY Fire Control Element Senior Sergeant; and then reassigned as the Administrative and Logistics Operations Center (ALOC) Fire Control/Support Noncommissioned Officer (NCO). He was appointed special assistant to the DIVARTY Commander as the DIVARTY Command Financial Advisor. He served as a 13C/D/E Basic and Advanced Small Group Leader, and Warrior Leader Course Senior Small Group Leader. He also had the honor of serving as the Warrior Leader Course First Sergeant/Course Manager, First Sergeant for the United States Army Field Artillery Center and Fort Sill (USAFACS) Salute battery - Bravo Battery, 2nd Bn, 2nd FA, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, First Sergeant HHB 3rd Bn, 13th FAR, and his last assignment was as the First Sergeant for C-26 FA TAB (forward) who deployed and was attached to the 2nd BN, 321st FA (Airborne) of the 82nd Airborne Division to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom VIII.

Warrior Leader Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course (during which he earned the Master Warfighter Award), Light Fighter Course, Light Leader Course, Drill Sergeant School (during which he earned Honor Graduate, Commandant’s List, Leadership Award, High Physical Fitness Training Award, The Post Commanding General and Command Sergeant Major Award for Leadership and Excellence), Master Fitness Trainer Course, Battle Staff Course, AFATDS Operator Course, Equal Opportunity Representative Course, Command Financial Advisor Course, Instructor Trainer Course, Small Group Instructor Trainer Course, Army Family Team Building Course - levels I and II, Senior Leader Equal Opportunity Course, First Sergeant Course. Thomas was selected and attended the Army's elite and highest level of education for an Enlisted Soldier -- The United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 56 (Strength and Honor).

Civilian Education[edit]

Educational Specialist (Ed.S) Degree from Liberty University, Master of Arts, Leadership from The University of Oklahoma, Bachelor of Arts, Homeland Security Studies from American Public University, Associate in Arts -General Studies, Business Management Minor from Jefferson Community College, Organizational Leadership from Rio salado College, and Lean Six Sigma from the U.S. Army. From the Department of Defense Civilian Educational System he has completed the following: Foundation, Interminiate and Advanced Course. He is currently working on his Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) from Liberty University{|
