Spin Roller Disco is Irelands largest purpose built roller skating rink. It is located at the junction between the Longmile Road and Walkinstown Avenue. At 8000sq ft, the floor was purposely laid for skating on and can accomodate more than 350 skaters at any one time. The music is generally contemporary, but they do have an 80's themed night on Wednesdays. Some people even dress appropriately i.e. big hair do's, vivid tu tu's, long socks etc. More than just skating to music, they accomodate all kinds of parties, from birthdays to hen's to anniversaries and food can be added to keep you going for the 3 hour sessions.

The session schedule is generally the same throughout the year, but does chage around certain Bank Holidays: Easter, Christmas and New Years) and there may be more added for some school breaks (mid term).

Wihin the 3 hour sessions, the DJ will play games with the skaters. These range from general games for fun and to test your sbility, to games where prizes are awarded. With a large number of birthday parties, they will even play a game for the birthday boys and girls. The floor guards supervise and monitor the games to make sure there are no cheaters.

The floor guards also supervise the rink at all times and skaters are advised to heed their instructions. This is vital, as some people try to skate against the flow or skate beyond their abilty and cause accidents.

Some notes to be aware of. There are rules for skaters and people should be aware of these either beforehand (on their website) on in the reception area on the day.

Specifically, they do not allow roller blades(inline) skates on the floor. Nor do they allow people to bring in their own food and drink. And a vital one is no food or drink allowed on the rink.

There is a large diner within the premises, which serves tea/coffee, cakes, pizza, hot dogs, soft drinks, chocolate and in the summer months, ice cream.
