From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of Generation Z members of the United States Congress. The definition of Generation Z is generally accepted as people born between the mid-to-late 1990s and the early 2010s. The Pew Research Center defined 1997 as the starting birth year based on "different formative experiences."[1]

Due to the federal age of candidacy in the United States being age 25 for the House and age 30 for the Senate, the first elections in which Generation Z became eligible as congressional candidates was 2022, although they will later become eligible for Senate elections in 2028.[a] As of 2023, Maxwell Frost of Florida is the only member of Generation Z to be elected to Congress.

Representatives are organized first in chronological order according to their first term in office, then second in alphabetical order according to their surname.

  1. ^ Technically, if an individual's birthdate is between January 1–3, 1997, they will be eligible to run in the 2026 Senate elections, as they would be 30 years old by January 3, 2027.
