Emily Wardill (born 1977 in Rugby) is a English Film maker and senior lecturer at Central Saint Martins College of Art. Working predominantly in Film to explore the relationship between communication and the material using the means of melodrama, linguistics and structuralist Film. Notable films include 'Born Winged Animals and Honey Gatherers of the Soul', 'Sick Serena and Dregs and Wreck and Wreck' with which she won the Jarman award in 2010. Emily Wardill was part of the British Art show 7 at the Hayward Gallery in 2011 which was exhibited across the country. Sick Serena and dregs and wreck is showing at the Venice Biennale until the 27th of November 2011. Emily Wardill Lives and works in London, and is represented by the Jonathan Viner Gallery.
