Education and career
[edit]Satish Kumar was born and brought up in a small farmer family in a small village of Kalnal district in Haryana, India. His father, shri.......was a farmer and involved in animal husbandry work. Satish did his primary education and schooling at .....and subsequently obtained his Master of Science in Animal Genetics and Breeding from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, India in 1979. In 1994, Satish went on to do his doctoral studies at Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, England. in 1982 Satish returned to India and joined Agricultural Research Services of Indian Council of Agricultural Research at ........, India, where he worked until 1999. In 1999, Satish joined Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad as Scientist and group leader.
