HyperStation (console)
[edit]From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A "HyperStation" is a Clone console of the PlayStation (console) made by Eeversoft (a video game company) heavily inspired by, a PlayStation (console). The HyperStation was made to take financial advantage of the popularity of the Xbox Series X and Series S. An additional motivation to the making of the bootleg console is not for the money, but instead they maybe made it because of the "fun" of making the console. The HyperSation lineup was divided into two categories: the basic HyperStation and the budget HyperStation Junior, which differ in design, quality, and price. The normal one is a copy of the PlayStation (console) console of Sony Interactive Entertainment and was produced in the maker of Eeversoft bedroom. The Junior was made from the PlayStation Classic but have cheaper plastic controllers. A HyperStation Pro version with one wired and one wireless controller was sold from only one small batch.
Because the Faxzin Buchanan (founder of Eeversoft) bought a buch of PS1 shells, he decied to make a console with the help of a few people and the HyperStation was made. The HyperStation is a household name in China, Taiwan ,and United States, it began to be appear in homes.
Hardware[edit]
[edit]Further information: Nintendo Entertainment System § Technical specifications
The system resembles a PlayStation 1 and needs to be set up to a TV. They all use a custom "microprocessor" which is a 32-bit LSI R3000 CPU with a clock rate of 33.86 MHz and 30 MIPS.
The consoles have 60 built-in games, although marketing frequently claims to have more than 1,000 ways of playing them. Most of the included games had been originally released for the PS1, but some have been created by Eeversoft. Most of the games have had their title screen graphics removed to save space on the ROM chip.
There are a number of scenes depicted on the front and back of the boxes, but all of them are artistic stylized drawings or retouched photos—none of them are actual game screenshots. Some versions sold in the US have an unlicensed still image from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace on the front of the box.
