I studied chemistry at the Free University of Berlin and did my PhD there in 1993. After my PhD, I worked at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, first as a trainee and from 1996 on as a freelancer in the exhibition department. From 1998 to 2000 I was in charge of the exhibition project "Pharmacy Exhibition" there. After the opening of the permanent exhibition "Pharmacy", I took up a position as Scientific Coordinator at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Potsdam in September 2000, where I am responsible for press and public relations. I am also a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (Education and Public Outreach Committee).

I am trying to make all contributions in encyclopedic style. I am aware that conflicts of interest might arise when editing page related to my institute, and will try to keep an WP:NPOV. If in doubt, please contact me about this.
