David Jones (born November 9, 1966) is the Global CEO of Havas Worldwide and Euro RSCG Worldwide, and is also the co-founder of One Young World [1], a nonprofit organization that gives a voice to leaders age 25 and younger around the world. He is recognized as a leading global CEO who has driven growth for Havas and Euro RSCG and who believes that the creative industries should use their ability to influence consumer behavior to effect major world issues. In 2010, David Jones led the agency that created a majority of the advertising and acted as a close adviser to British Prime Minister David Cameron and the Conservative Party. In advance of the United Nation’s climate summit in Copenhagen in December 2009, Kofi Annan selected David and his team to create and lead the Tck Tck Tck, Time for Climate Justice Campaign, an open source campaign which recruited more than 15 million “climate allies” to the cause.[3]

Career[edit]

Jones speaks three languages and began his global career as an account executive at BDH Manchester (now TBWA). He then moved to JWT in Paris where he served as the European Account Director on Unilever. He also spent time leading key accounts at both Lowe Europe and Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO before moving to Sydney in 1998 to become CEO of Euro RSCG Australia at age 32. After four successful years in Australia, Jones was named president of global brands and global brand director on Reckitt Benckiser for Euro RSCG Worldwide. In 2004, he was named CEO of Euro RSCG New York and just one year later named global CEO of Euro RSCG Worldwide and directeur general of Havas. In 2009 he added the title of global CEO of Havas Worldwide, running all the creative, marketing, and design companies throughout the Havas network of 300+ offices.[4]

  • In 2010 Adweek readers named Jones one of the top three advertising industry CEOs of the decade. [9]
