C.W. Stanton Company, Chicago, was a manufacturer and seller of subscription books. The firm was incorporated 1895 by (i) Calvin William Stanton (1862–1926), (ii) Sally S. Murphy, and (iii) Mary F. Bell.

  • The largest of the subscription publishing firms that sold these substantial family bibles was the National Publishing Company of Philadelphia, also known as the Philadelphia Bible Press, founded by Joshua R. Jones.
