Definitions of some of the features and feature-related notes[edit]

STRUCTURES[edit]

Multiple breakdown structures[edit]

Multiple breakdown structures allow presenting the same information from different view. E.g. in case of WBS, activities can be grouped by product, person responsible & technological process.

Resource Assignments[edit]

Separation of quantity from workload[edit]

In case a resource is assigned to activity this feature would allow to distinguish between the workload and the quantity of the resource. E.g. it would allow to distinguish between 2 resources assigned 150% each and 3 resources assigned 100% each.

Microsoft Project Notes[edit]

  1. ^ Requires usage of Microsoft Project Server

Primavera P6 Notes[edit]

  1. ^ cost accounts but not cost components, impossible to define that resource cost consists of salary, taxes, indirect costs etc

Spider Project Notes[edit]

  1. ^ Unlimited amount of Portfolio- Work- and Resource- Breakdown structures for
  2. ^ In Spider resources of the same skill may have different productivities, automatic resource assignments based on skills and availability
  3. ^ Working calendars take into account both activity and resource calendars
  4. ^ With the simulation of material supply or production
  5. ^ With the simulation of project financing and income
  6. ^ Using consolidate/redistribute feature of the portfolio via FTP or network drives. Does not require server
