Stella Erratica - A Planet In The Via Lactea Galaxy[edit]

History Of Stella Erratica[edit]

When the mineral-rich Stella Erratica was first discovered by hominums, they immediately settled there. They took advantage of it’s amazing resources not found on their home planet of Domum. This caused a tremendous amount of air pollution. As a result, the global temperatures of Stella Erratica drastically increased. In the meantime, a mass extinction of prey was occurring. Predators were thriving due to the prey, and eventually killed off all of their food. Now all they had for sustenance was other predators. Even today, Stella Erratica is a predator-eat-predator planet.

Environments Of Stella Erratica[edit]

The environments on Stella Erratica are very similar to Earth. The hot, sandy deserts are known as incendiums. That is where the sabulos, sand-colored snakes, call home. There aren’t very many other creatures in this harsh environment due to a lack of water and incredibly high temperatures. The cold, icy deserts are known as congelos. That is where the glacieses, ice cube-looking creatures live. Like the incendiums, these are fairly harsh environments, and not many creatures reside there, either. The most habitable areas are known as consummati. Here the temperatures don’t get too high or too low, and is where most of the creatures of Stella Erratica live. However, a major difference between Stella Erratica and Earth is that Stella Erratica is one huge land mass with no separate tectonic plates. There is also considerably less water on Stella Erratica, and it’s ocean is called the Aecor.

Organisms Of Stella Erratica[edit]

The organisms on Stella Erratica are very unique. There are none like them anywhere else in the Via Lactea Galaxy. In the hot incendiums live the sabulos. These snake-like creatures blend in with their sandy background, and this adaptation helps them to easily capture its prey. A sabulo's skin is very thin, as compared to their ancestors, who had thicker skin. The change was brought about by air pollution caused by hominums. The hominums were not native to the planet of Stella Erratica, but started populating it after discovering it had much more valuable minerals than their home planet of Domum. The hominums are very human-like, and are the "intelligent life forms" of Stella Erratica. Another of Stella Erratica's organisms is the glacies. It lives in the freezing cold congelos. It is the shape and color of an ice cube, but can neutralize its prey with its water-colored venom. It's poison is a relatively new adaptation, since it's prey before the mass extinction was much smaller and easier to capture and eat. Stella Erratica also has an underwater organism known as the unda. This is a very large fish, but it was not always like this. Before the mass extinction, it was a lot smaller because it's prey was a lot smaller.
