From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

5uper.net /ˈsupər nɛt/ is the name (and in the same time web url) of the international artist network focussing on artistic research and the insemination of the topics and aims of new media arts. The name "5uper" (used as "super") is not a typographical error, but is integral to the visual identity of the group - the "5" is used as a logotype and icon[1].

Founded in 2003[2], the group organized over 70 Exhibitions and Projects[3], among them the Coded Cultures Festival in 2004 (Austria), 2009 (Austria, Tokyo & Yokohama/ Japan[4]) and again 2011 in Vienna, Austria[5][6].

The Group worked in collaboration with other international media art festivals, such as the transmediale[7][8], ISEA[9], the Japan Media Arts Festival (JMAF), among lots of cooperations with artists and artist groups (ubermorgen.com, BCL, eSeL, etc.)
