Introduction

Farhad shahnawaz is an Indian model, dancer and an actor who hails from Hyderabad. He has backed the “Best Personality” title in the Gladrags Manhunt contest of 2004, which was a major breakthrough for his career. He is one of the rare models of Hyderabad who made his mark on the Indian fashion.

Early Life

Farhad was born on 28th September 1980. He belongs to a Muslim family where he is the youngest child and he has two brothers. He was born and brought up in Hyderabad.

Career

Modeling

He started his modeling career with the Gladrags Manhunt contest 2004, where he made to the top five finalists. His exceptional style quotient made him win the title of “Best personality” in that contest. He also worked with the leading fashion designers of India like Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, JJ Valaya, Wendell Rodricks, Narendra Kumar, Raghavendra Rathore, Vikram Phadnis, Arjun Khanna, Chitwan Naredi, DVE and was one of their favorite choices for ramp walks.

He is one of the very few Hyderabadi models who have got the opportunity to become Show’s topper for the very famous Sabhyasachi Mukherjee in the prestigious Lakme India fashion week 2008. His hard work and dedication made him stand where he is today. He was the most preferred model for the top designers at the Lakme India Fashion week during 2005- 2007.

Farhad has endorsed for the famous International brands like Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, XLNC, Khuranas, Timeless and CHIMAN that is an American brand for hair care.

He made to the various newspapers and editorials such as The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle, The Times of India and Eenadu. There were numerous articles that stated that Farhad is the pride of Hyderabad who has become successful in the world of modeling due to his extreme determination, professionalism and charm.

Television

Apart from modeling, his dancing skills are of top notch that made him win the dance reality show named Boogie Woogie back in 1994.

In 2013, he has done an excellent role named “Rammy” in Sanskaar-Dharohar Apnon Ki that was telecasted on Colors.

Film

Farhad proved as an actor in two Telugu movies. His first film was ‘Relax’ in 2005 and the second was ‘Style’ which was a dance based movie that was released in 2006. ‘Style’ was the highest budgeted film that was based on dance and music during its time of release. This was also dubbed in Tamil.

Currently he is working for another Telugu film ‘REY’ that is being directed by YVS Chowdary and is due to get released in 2014.
