Hynd Bouhia is an international specialist in economic intelligence and strategic advice born in 1973 in Casablanca, Morocco, former director of the Casablanca Stock Exchange.[1] She is also Professor of Sustainable Development and Climate Change, and member of research projects at Harvard University.[2] Dr. Hynd Bouhia speaks at major international conferences and is a member of the Society of Scholars at Johns Hopkins University.

After receiving his engineering degree in Industry and Manufacturing at Ecole Centrale Paris in 1995, a Master of Science, and his Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University in June 1998. She completed her studies with an MA from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in June 2000. Finally, Dr. Bouhia is a fellow of the Archbishup Tutu for Africa Leadership program and the University Oxford since 2013.[3]

Professionnal career

Hynd Bouhia joined from 1994 to 1997 the Teaching of Operational Research and its Application to Economics three semesters with Professor Peter Rogers, Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University.

From 1996-2000 she became a young professional economist in various countries of Latin America and East Asia. Hynd Bouhia became in 2000 chief of staff to the vice-president of the Middle East and South Africa region.

At the beginning of 2001 she became Financial Manager of the World Bank to manage operations and financial markets, treasury. Responsible for issuance and stock market monitoring of international World Bank bonds denominated in emerging currencies. Project manager for the global opening of new financial markets, including Dubai, India, Morocco, Mexico and Thailand.[4]

At the end of 2004, she left the World Bank to become economic advisor to Prime Minister Driss Jettou, occupying the position of Head of Investments and Economic Affairs. Executing and coordinating files and projects on investment, industry (Emergence Plan), and tourism; as well as the development and execution of Framework Contracts for two sectors. Monitoring of the Investment Commission. Development of Morocco's proposal for the Millennium Challenge Account of $700 Million.[5] In 2008 she became the Managing Director and Member of the Management Board of the Casablanca Stock Exchange. From 2019 to 2021 she became professor of Sustainable Development and Climate Change at the Faculty of Governance, Economic and Social Sciences of the Mohamed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) of Benguerir.
