Fiona McGowan

Born: 4 October 1971 in Guildford, Surrey, UK

Feature writer for lifestyle magazines, specialising in adventure travel and adrenalin sports. Copywriter for various websites and related marketing material.


From 1997, worked as a sub-editor and writer for lifestyle magazines including: Ministry (Ministry of Sound), Wallpaper*, Bare, Men's Fitness, Elle Decoration, Country Homes & Interiors and Mail on Sunday supplement. Also worked on customer magazines including Lexus, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Swarovski, Mothercare, Norwich Union and John Lewis.

Prior to 1997, worked as project co-ordinator and writer of country reports in Hong Kong's South China Morning Post and The Japan Times, worked on Voluntary Service Overseas' magazine, spent a year as an English teacher in Malaysia.
