Case sensitivity
[edit]Note that: "Titles on Wikipedia are case sensitive except for the first character; please check alternate capitalizations and consider adding aredirect here to the correct title." Consider that section titles can be "page titles" as well. So make them in lowercase as much as possible (except for proper nouns), so that they can be "imbedded" in in-line text as a "natural" phrase.
Alternative way to create footnotes or references
[edit]This approach might not be considered standard? Or is it just another acceptable way to do things?

Note on Automating References
[edit]If a URL is put between single square brackets, it will be displayed as Ref #, but will not automatically aggregate in the References section. It must be tagged as a Ref. This is done with the button in the advanced editor bar that is a No. 1 over a No. 2, or also in the old editor bar (the button at the end with the word ref it? Wait, one of those is for designating where the reference section is. The button with a 1 inside of square brackets is for where the Ref is inserted inline? An example of two choices for how to style a reference:
Sean nós singing is a highly-ornamented style of solo singing defined by one source as:
...a rather complex way of singing in Gaelic, confined mainly to some areas in the west and south of the country. It is unaccompanied and has a highly ornamented melodic line....Not all areas have the same type of ornamentation--one finds a very florid line in Connacht, contrasting with a somewhat less decorated one in the south, and, by comparison, a stark simplicity in the northern songs...[1]
Ó Canainn also says, '...no aspect of Irish music can be fully understood without a deep appreciation of Sean-nós singing. It is the key which opens every lock'. [2]
Ref's Go Here
[edit]The title is is usually "References" but the wording is optional. There are two types of "references go here" tags though? The main one is the word "references" with a forward slash inside "carrots." The other one is the words "reflist" inside double "squiggly" brackets. There is some fancier looking coding for when referring back to an ISBN number. There is a "service" for this at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:BookSources
An example of a Ref closer to "user friendly" format (disguises the URL but still provides a link):
Note: if you put in an untagged URL, it still figures out that it is a URL, but it will not treat it as a Ref.
But first the book needs to be modern enough to have an ISBN and then you have to find it, such as at:
Q: What does the "name equals" part of a ref do? This has to be hand coded since there is no button for that?
Below is a hand coded link with a replacement label for the URL part:
The rest are the automated types:

Note on sub-points in a section
[edit]Major Point
[edit]Blah, blah, blah..
Other Header
[edit]Yap, yap, yap
Still Other Header
[edit]Um, um, um
Each sub-section then has its separate Edit handle.
This is applied with the ??? button. So far all I know is that three equal-signs are put on either end (and a space on either side of the text is optional, as it is ignored?)
