Church Street is an early important street in downtown Toronto, Ontario. It currently runs north from The Esplanade, approximately 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to just north of Bloor Street, where it turns west for approximately 200 metres (220 yd) and ends at Yonge Street.

The street retains many heritage buildings.

Gay tourist area

The blocks around Church and Wellesley Street are considered the core of Toronto's gay village, and are widely promoted as a gay-positive tourist attraction.
