Hazime T. Telei is a citizen of Palau who served as a public official, and became Chairman of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police.

In 1999 Telei served in the office of the Vice President of Palau.[1]

He was subsequently appointed director of Palau's Bureau of Public Safety.

On January 5, 2005, when President Thomas Remengesau Jr. temporarily appointed his Vice President, Camsek Elias Chin, Minister of Justice. The Pacific Islands Report noted that Telei welcomed Chin to this position, and assured him the cooperation of all his subordinates.[2]

On October 9, 2007, in his capacity as Chairman of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police he delivered a leadership award to Kalinda Blake, a Nauro police officer.[3]
