Bokeo International Airport
[edit]Bokeo International Airport (BIA)[1] is located in Tonphueng district, Bokeo province[2]. It close to the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone (GTSE)[3]. It is a category 4C airport[4], which has the length of the running lane is 2500 meters, width 60 meters and is capable of handling the BOEING 737-900ER[5] and other categories.
Bokeo International Airport (BIA) has the ability to take off and arrive, including the expansion of both short-haul and long-haul airlines both domestically and internationally.
Bokeo International Airport started construction on September 20, 2020[6] and is expected to complete construction and trial service in 2022. After completion and official opening, this airport will become an economic center in the northwest of the country[7], as well as taking the province of Bokeo as a central focus, to encourage the development of tourism, trade, finance and other industries in the local area and neighboring countries. In the future, it will become one of the airline centers of the Indochina Peninsula[8] and has a deep significance for Laos and the Southeast Asian countries[9].

Agricultural Projects
[edit]The agricultural comprehensive development project is one of the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone Development's initiatives. It intends to provide numerous work possibilities, as well as to eliminate poverty and to produce crops to meet the requirements of the people, including export to neighboring countries. The company employs cutting-edge technologies in the production of agricultural products and to ensure that laborers and locals may learn how to use the tools and general practices.
The developers are currently increasing the agriculture land for cultivation and animals such as: vegetables farm, cow farm, pig farm, chicken, duck, and goose farms.
The Cultivation Areas.
[edit]The overall area of agriculture is 14,6 hectares, with 3 hectares dedicated to shade cultivation - shade house, which includes chilies, cabbages, green cabbages, and other sorts. It has a total of 156 shade houses that can be expanded depending on the demands. After the construction is finished, it will be able to produce more than 40 different types of vegetables.
The projects will address demands while also improving food quality and lowering living costs. The Konjac cultivation is taking place over 28,6 hectares; it expects to produce more than 50 tons per year, with the majority of the products being sold to China.
Corn cultivation has taken 346,6 hectares, with an expected yield of 2.000 tons per year.
Livestock Areas
[edit]The cattle farm is encompassed 40 hectares, consists of 8 cowsheds which takes 17,780 hectares and has totally 3,000 cows. The new born of cattle is averaged 2-3 cows per day.
The big farm is encompassed 4 hectares, the pigsty construction is taken 7,800-meter. It’s totally 3,000 pigs at the present time, not that there is duck, chicken and goose farms in total 12,000.
The project has been cooperating with the communities by providing of the sire and bull and vegetable varieties for the agricultural, and the products can be reselling to the company by without worrying of the marketing.
The cultivation and livestock projects are now totally 160 workers, Laotian 80%, Myanmar 15% and chines 5%.
The livestock and cultivation areas are will be expanded in the future plan, to reinforce the cooperation with the communities, as well as update high quality of the cultivation, livestock.
The 6 cowsheds are will be constructed in the nearly future plan, expect to increase more than 10,000 cows, including to expand the pasture areas, increase of egg-laying duck breeds and egg-laying chicken breeds farms.
The new agricultural technical is deployed to increase highly quality and quantity of agriculture productions, to ensuring foods are responded to the needs, as well as to reinforces collaboration with the communities, to ensure they have stable jobs which is improved their livelihood better day by day.
