New article name goes here Gran Hewad, born in 1983, is the youngest and the only son of a middle-class family who was born in a remote village in Puli Khumri - Baghlan province. He has worked for a short time as Director of Communications Department at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF). He had previously worked as Research Manager for the Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit (AREU) and as researcher for Afghanistan Analysts Network (AAN). Afterwards he served as Afghanistan’s Program Manager for Geneva Call. Before all these, he worked as executive officer at the Secretariat of the Admin Board of the Wolesi Jirga. With thirteen years of work experience, he is currently working as the Spokesperson and Director General of Communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan. He received his undergraduate degree in B.A - Economics from Kabul University and attended his M.A classes in Peace, Development and Conflict Transformation at the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
