Chesterton's fence

In general, I think paid editors (especially undisclosed ones) should not have the pages they've created kept, as that would create an incentive to use kamikaze accounts to violate WP:PROMOTION. If they're not caught then the advertising stands; if they are caught then volunteer Wikipedians will do the editing work to let their client continue to reap the credibility benefits of having a Wikipedia article (especially if they have marginal/shallow press coverage). If someone/something is actually notable, a truly independent editor will create an article someday.
