User:Hammersoft/Watchlist
Watchlists are truly annoying. I have 2839 pages on mine now. Most of them, I've no idea why. I'm reluctant to just flush my watchlist and start over. It'd be nice if watchlists had the ability to note why you added them in the first place, and maybe even put an expiration date on them being on your watchlist. As is, it's just a dumping ground. So, to attempt to correct that to some degree...
- 4 November 2015: Railway engines (Thomas & Friends) due to mass overuse of non-free images being removed
- 10 November 2015: Alvin Powell due to birth date being contested.
- 11 November 2015: Upper Union Street Schenectady, due to account (User:Upper Union Street Schenectady) creating user page to promote themselves, and then after being blocked a Schenectady based IP attempting to 'save' the user page.
- 19 November 2015: Princeton Theological Seminary, due to multiple new accounts attempting to force non-neutral content onto the article.
- 2 December 2015: Added Lexington Global Markets, Draft:LEXFX and LEXFX after two single purpose accounts attempted to push this article onto Wikipedia about a company which does not appear to meet db-inc thresholds.
- 4 December 2015: Added Asexuality as a result of a spat of vandalism by a (now blocked) account.
- 4 December 2015: Added Newhomesource.com and Builder Homesite due to single purpose accounts attempting to advertise. 18 Dec. added NewHomeSource.com for the same reason.
- 18 December 2015: Added Medomak Valley High School due to accounts representing the school attempting to add material to the article.
- 5 January 2016: Added LO Hess; deleted as non-notable musician. Might be recreated. It's been deleted three times now.
- 13 January 2016: Added Design Orbita after double creation/deletion.
- 15 January 2016: Added Sonomak Farms, as an obvious hoax. Supposedly is "one of the largest government licensed producers of marijuana in the World"...except the State of Washington (where it claims to be) has no record of the farm having a license. Oops.
- 18 February 2016: Added South African Association for Jazz Education due to an account being created under that name. Expecting another account creation under a compliant name, and an attempt to create the article.
- 18 February 2016: Added Syed Baqar Imam Rizvi. Self promoting user under the same name who does not appear to understand what to do as yet. Communication attempted, but non-responsive.
- 24 May 2016: Added Halls Head, Western Australia, after a new user began adding advertising like copy to the article
- 1 June 2016: Added Herbert Fletcher University, after new and IP editors began editing with COI and also adding copyrighted text
- 13 October 2016: Added Spanish Network of Excellence on Cybersecurity Research. Article started by a (now blocked) conflict of interest account. Organization, virtually by definition, is notable. News sources are light as yet due to its having been founded only this year.
- 20 October 2016: Added Our Lady of the Rockies due to copyright violating image from Commons making its way back onto the article. Non-free image is acceptable, but twice now images have been uploaded to Commons for this purpose. More troubling, the second of the images went undetected for three years. See Commons:Commons:Deletion requests/File:Our Lady of the Rockies.jpg.
- 18 May 2017: Added Ranu Uniyal; repeatedly recreated starting in 2014.
- 11 July 2017: User:Jareddancedfcu/sandbox possible conflict of interest article
- 11 July 2017: Brad Dowdy
- 11 July 2017: Joseph C. Evans
- 11 July 2017: Chatsworth Products and Chatsworth Products, Inc.. SPA account at User:Chatsworth Products attempting to promote the company. May attempt it via another account.
- 1 September 2017: Alex Shaffer (alpine skier); now a nurse, she was arrested during incident at a Utah hospital where as a nurse, she refused a police order for a non-consensual blood draw where probable cause did not exist.
- 11 October 2017: Lionbridge due to paid editing with promotional content.
- 24 October 2017: Asannagari Jeevan Reddy after a BLP violating edit was added to the article.
- 3 March 2018: Julianne Binard, now creation protected. Also see Draft:Julianne Binard. Related accounts; Callmeparadise (talk · contribs), Phiauna (talk · contribs), Azidonis (talk · contribs)
- 9 April 2018: Fatus Fee (creation protected), Fatus fee, Fatus fee lagos, @ Fatus Fee, @Fatus Fee, Fatus Fee,Christian and Rich. Series of creations by one or more highly motivated and threatening [1][2] editor(s). See also Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Perfection10125.
- 18 April 2018: Douglas Development Corporation repeatedly recreated and deleted. Should possibly be creation protected. It was deleted once back in 2010, and then twice in quick succession on this day. Third time's the charm.
- 20 April 2018: User:Singhishivam and particularly User:Shivamsinghsoni7, with Draft:Shivam Singhi and Draft:Shivam singh soni. See also c:Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Shivamsinghsoni7, etc.
- 16 May 2018: Shawn McKnight added due to repeat copyright violations appearing on the article.
- 31 March 2019: Joseph Konopka added due to being released from federal custody on September 8, 2019.
- 27 November 2019: Marvelous Marvin Hagler added due to copyright violations appearing on this article.
- 29 December 2021: Michael Norton, Michael D Norton, Michael D. Norton added due to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael D Norton and tendentious and threatening behavior by the subject of the BLP.

Miscellany[edit]
- 2 December 2015: I added User:Mr. Stradivarius/gadgets/SpamUserPage as it dovetails nicely with some of the work I do. Someday, when RfA regains sanity and someone like me who's never damaged the project, committed tens of thousands of edits, etc. can become an admin without having to jump through insane and irrelevant standards, I might install this.

Wish list[edit]
- (Proposed during 2020 Wishlist): When adding something to a watchlist, it would be useful to have a field to add a reason why you are adding it, viewable only by you.
- When adding something to a watchlist, you should be able to categorize that entry preferably into categories of your own creation. Example, if I watchlist a user's page that has some useful code or information, I would like to be able to categorize it into "User developed code or information". The watchlist output could then be filtered via those categories.
- When you add a watchlist item, you should have the ability to indicate an expiry date. Notifications to your talk page should occur when the items expire. (This may be coming)
- (Proposed (and rejected) during 2020 Wishlist): The ability to edit your own edit summary.
