S-drive
Samsung S-Drive is a program to encourage safer driving in Australia. It is part of a global initiative by Samsung as part of the Launching People project. Initial testing is conducted in the Newcastle area, and is available to P2 NSW License Holders with selected Samsung Galaxy Handsets. Drivers receive points, based on how far they drive at the recommended speed for that area, as well as not touching their handset. This then turns into rewards, where points are converted into prizes.
The S-Drive software, is backed by the Navigon GPS software.
The Newcastle area was chosen, due to the high number of road fatalities in the area[1].
