Ghostbikes based in Preston in the North West region of England, is primarily a worldwide importer and retailer or motorcycle clothing and accessories. The firm trades online and through its shop on Deepdale Mill Street, Preston. In 2009 it became a UK Top 60 Ebay seller. It is a sister company of UK Good Deals Ltd.

Company history[edit]

After setting up UK Good Deals Ltd, company members Ian Moore and Adam Patel travelled to Hong Kong to look for interesting products they could import. Mr Moore had a longstanding interest in motorbikes and discovered Mini Motos – a type of small bike that had not reached the UK except from Italy where they were substantially more expensive.

In 2006 Ghostbikes imported a small Mini Moto, Quad Bike, Pit Bike and Pocket Bikes range. These were transported to Britain and traded across the UK, primarily through the company website.

At the same time several other dealers selling Pocket Bikes began trading and left a serious shortfall in spare parts. The company gradually phased out its motorbikes range but still stocks spare parts dedicated to them and is now sells its own brand of [Ghost MX Pit Bikes].

In March 2007 Ghostbikes began sponsoring one of its members – Reece Rothwell – who competes nationally in motorcycle road races. Eighteen-year-old Reece started out as a customer at Ghostbikes but he gained interest in the company and its products. He now works as a marketing and sales assistant for Ghostbikes while competing across Britain. He assists the company in picking and testing its products.

In September 2009 Reece was placed in the Triumph Triple Challenge, reaching third place. As a result, he was asked to trial Michelin’s new range of tyres at their head quarters in Clermont-Ferrand.

Next year he will begin competing in the British Superbike Championships. He is sponsored by Ghostbikes and keeps a blog regularly updated.[1]
