Richard Kapuskinski (5 July 1921, Milwaukee, Wisconsin–17 May 1991, Oberlin, Ohio) was a cellist and cello teacher, best known for his work at Oberlin Conservatory. He in 1941 graduated from Curtis Institute of Music,[1] where he was a student of Felix Salmond, but as a young musician found Salmond's pedagogical approach intractable. He was a member of the cello section of the Cleveland Orchestra under Erich Leinsdorf and George Szell (1943-1948).[2]
