I'm just making minor edits to Uzbek history articles since many are very low quality with few or not citations, inconsistent spelling, and incorrect information. Most of my work centers on confirming dates of awards with good sources and correcting incorrect and unsourced dates of death using obituaries from the website of the National Library. My favorite things to do are steal citations for award dates from other articles and add citations to obituaries into articles.
Partial list of factual errors I have corrected and hoaxes I have debunked:
- Death date of Laziz Qayumov: he died in 2004 (obituary), but the article said that he died in 2005 (and provided no proof for the false claim)
- Death date of Sobira Kholdorova: she died in 1981 (book), but the article said that she died in 1984 (and provided no proof for the false claim)
- Death date of Mukhtar Ashrafi: he died on 15 November 1975 (obituary), but the article said he died on 10 November 1971 (and provided no proof for the false claim)
- Death date of Ozod Sharafiddinov: he died on 4 October 2005 (newspaper obituary from 2005, website with exact date), but the article said that he died in 2002 (and provided no proof for the false claim)
- Death date of Aleksey Kozlovsky: he died on 9 January 1977 (obituary), but the article said he died on 3 January 1977 (and provided no proof for the false claim)
- Death date of Muhitdin Qori-Yoqubov: he died on 2 February 1957 (obituary), but the article said that he died on 22 February 1957 (the mistake was copied from Uzbek Wikipedia)
- Award list of Ubay Orifov: he did not get the Biruni Prize in 1967 (newspaper with list of actual 1967 recipients), but the article said that he got the prize in 1967; in reality, he got the award in 1968 (newspaper with list of 1968 recipients)
- Award list of Tamaraxonim: she got the Order of Outstanding Merit in 2001 (2001 newspaper with award list as proof), but the article said that it was in 2003.
- Award list of Chingiz Akhmarov: he got the Hamza Prize in 1968 (1968 newspaper with the award list as proof) but the article said he got it in 1967 (and he is not on the 1967 award list)
