Resources for Part 2, Thursday July 23.
[edit]The article in need for citation
[edit]Many cultures have a recognizable cuisine, a specific set of cooking traditions using various spices or a combination of flavors unique to that culture, which evolves over time. Other differences include preferences (hot or cold, spicy, etc.) and practices, the study of which is known as gastronomy.[citation needed 1] Many cultures have diversified their foods by means of preparation, cooking methods, and manufacturing. This also includes a complex food trade which helps the cultures to economically survive by way of food, not just by consumption. Some popular types of ethnic foods include Italian, French, Japanese, Chinese, American, Cajun, Thai, African, and Indian cuisine.[citation needed 2]

Brief Description on how new content relates to topic
[edit]I have noticed when choosing the article 'Food, it listed the countries of ethnic food in the United States, however, did not talk about what are the ethnic foods of the countries listed above in United States. In this case, the article needs more explanation on the different types of ethnic foods. Therefore, i have decided to talk more in details about the ethnic foods in the United States and give a brief description of each country whether, the country being famous in the United States for its ethnic food, or vice-versa. This will help the article by explaining more about ethnic foods in the United States with a brief description of each ethnic food country in United States.

Search Strategy
[edit]Search tools used: Mount Saint Vincent Library home page, Google books, OnlineLibrary.wiley, Google.com, Wikipedia reference page.
- Choosing a category within the mount saint vincent library website has helped me to narrow my research and find the most reliable and best sources of research.
- In my Food search most of my search terms were connected with AND, tried to connect them with OR but it was harder to find the article that i was looking for. Therefore, i have used the key terms, Food And Ethnic And popular.
- have checked the article on the Wikipedia page for the resource list. This has helped with my research and finding the right headings for the article.
- I included the term food management which was not as effective as i thought it would be.
