Symbiosis
[edit]The relationship between Pistol Shrimp and Goby Fish is a mutualistic relationship.
In Biology 494 at Grand Valley State University - Wikipedia, our class has spent the past few weeks learning about symbiosis and what that means. Symbiosis is used to describe a close relationship between two organisms. Some categories of symbiosis are mutualism, parasitism, predation, and competition. Noah Edmund describes their relationship as this, "Advocates of the concept of irreducible complexity in the natural world have propositionally identified the symbiotic relationship between the blind shrimp and the goby fish as incapable of having naturally evolved."(2021). That"s it!
