History

[edit]

Pueblo County High School is a public high school that is located in Pueblo, Colorado, United States. It was established in 1953. The school was opened to the public in the spring of 1954 and the first graduating class was in 1954. It was three high schools combined: Avondale, Vineland, and Pleasant View. It had separate class for each grade. All grades were allowed to attend the school when it first opened. From the time it was built to now, Pueblo County High School had 12 principals. Our school colors are green and gold because those were the colors of the hornet. Before Pueblo County High School was built it was land used for farming, specifically used to grow vegetables.
