Manuel Medina is a Mayoral Candidate in San Antonio, Texas for the 2017 elections.

Manuel Medina is a successful businessman, committed family man, and a man of faith.

Born on the Southside (a little further south than most, in a place called México), Medina, at the age of three, crossed the Rio Grande into McAllen, Texas with his mother. They traveled to San Antonio, later moved to El Paso, and then to Los Angeles.

Medina attended the University of Southern California and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1993, he enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin's Graduate Engineering School and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was elected President of the Graduate Engineering Council and was a candidate for UT Student Body President, the beginning of his participation in electoral politics.

In 1996, he returned to San Antonio to help elect Congressman Ciro Rodriguez. His success at electing candidates led him to form Professional Campaign Services, a political consulting and public relations firm.

In 2006, Medina merged his love for engineering and his passion for politics into a successful call center business MEDINA Call Center Technologies. What began with five phone bankers making political calls, evolved into a 500-station operation managing inbound/outbound customer service calls.

He was elected Chairman of the Bexar County Democratic Party in 2012 and is now serving his third term.

Manuel and his wife Janeth live in the Dominion on the Northside with their two daughters Michelle Marie and Sara Sophia. In December, they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.
