KIT digital, Inc. (NASDAQ: KITD) is a global provider of on-demand, Internet Protocol (IP)-based video asset management solutions[1][2]. The company is headquartered in Prague, and maintains principal offices in Cologne, Dubai, London, Melbourne (Australia), New York, Stockholm and Toronto. KIT digital, Inc. (previously known as ROO group) changed its name in 2008 after financial restructuring of the company[3]. KIT digital listed on the NASDAQ Global Market in August 2009 under the ticker "KITD".

VX Platform[edit]

KIT VX[4], the company's software platform, enables its clients to acquire, manage and distribute video assets across the personal computer[5], mobile device[6], and IPTV-enabled television set[7]. The application of VX ranges from commercial video distribution to internal corporate deployments, including corporate communications[8], human resources, training, security and surveillance.

Customers[edit]

KIT digital clients include Google, Associated Press[9], K-mart and Verizon.

The Company's largest media clients include The New York Post[10], The Sun, Channel 10 in Australia[11], Citadel Broadcasting Corporation[12] and others.

Acquisitions[edit]

KIT digital has acquired a number of players in the IP video industry including Narrowstep[13], Visual Connection[14], Kamera[15], Morpheum[16], Nunet[17] and the FeedRoom[18][19].


Partners[edit]

In November, 2009 KIT digital launched its Partners Program[20], which initially includes 22 re-sale, business referral and implementation partners around the globe. KIT Partners can offer the KIT VX software platform with preferred pricing and support, while KIT digital can use KIT Partners' complementary technologies in certain cases, with local sales, implementation and services resources in other cases.
