'CASIO. A New Era.' is a short film focussing on the extrajudicial kidnapping, detention and torture of a juvenile in the UK as part of the War on Terror. It was directed by Irfan Chowdhury, and features music by US hip-hop star Lupe Fiasco and UK electronic music project TwoThirds. The film takes details from accounts of Assad Ullah, an ex-Guantanamo detainee who reports being hung from the ceiling by his wrists for prolonged periods of time, Binyan Mohammad, who reports being blasted with sound at Bagram and Shafiq Iqbal, a member of the Tipton Three who was placed in Solitary Confinement at Guantanamo Bay to portray the torture of the fictional 'Prisoner 650', who was transferred from MI5 custody in the UK to American custody, where he was flown to Bagram and finally Guantanamo Bay. Prisoner 650 was detained on the grounds that he was Muslim and owned a CASIO watch.

The film opens with extracts of speech from the 2012 animated film ParaNorman, which discuss concepts of revenge, suffering and wrongdoing as the Abu Ghraib pictures are shown, along with news footage of 9/11 and a military video of US soldiers in Iraq. The film then commences footage of a detainee kneeling on a patch of grass with a bag on his head. The Lupe Fiasco song 'Lamborghini Angels' then plays through footage of Prisoner 650's capture by the MI5 and his interrogation. He is then filmed in a stress position and with a bag on his head. On the plane to Bagram, he is unhooded, but upon his arrival he is hung from the celing by his wrists and forced to listen to extremely loud white noise. On the plane to Guantanamo Bay, he is forced to wear a bag on his head, and upon his arrival, he is put in stress positions and sensory deprivation. He is shown writing a letter, and then in Solitary Confinement. After being told he will be released, he is filmed unhooded on the plane home. Upon his arrival in the UK, he suffers from a moment of emotional anguish.
