    Chris Donovan is an American Shoe designer who started his career much later in life. He always was inspired to draw and design shoes
    Chris was born in Brighton Massachusetts and grew up mostly throughout the New England area. He went to Assumption College in Worcester Massachusetts where he

majored in Religious studies. Chris worked at the regional phone company to help pay for this education. He worked for the phone company for 25 years. During that time he would draw avant-garde shoes constantly.

    Chris came across a weekend course in New York City on becoming a shoe designer. A course offered by Prescott and Mackay out of London and was taught by Shoe and Menswear designer Aki Choklat.

With inspiration from Aki, Chris applied and was accepted at the prestigious Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence Italy. Chris graduated with a Masters in Footwear Design in 2013.

    Chris' shoes have been exhibited at Dutch Design Week and can be seen at www.vitualshoemuseum.com/chris-donovan also at www.Polimodatalent.com
