Pre-Production

Bond 25 has reportedly started with Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli producing the film. EON Productions, MGM and Sony/Columbia Pictures will be producing the film. Bond 25 began development in early 2016; Mendes stated he would not be the film's director.[2] In October 2016, Craig stated that he may indeed return for another film, saying, "As far as I'm concerned, I've got the best job in the world. I'll keep doing it as long as I still get a kick out of it. If I were to stop doing it, I would miss it terribly."[3][4] Since Sony Pictures's contract to co-produce the series with MGM and Eon expired with the release of Spectre, another major film studio may land the distribution rights to release Bond 25 in cinemas.[5] Various studios namely Warner Bros., Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, Sony and Annapurna Pictures are vying to solidify a role in the rights to the next film; with MGM and Eon only offering a one-film contract.[6] In July 2017 it was announced that the film would be released in the United States on 8 November 2019.[7] In August 2017 Craig confirmed that he would reprise his role as Bond.[8] Director for the film has not been considered names of directors Denis Villeneuve, David Mackenzie and Yann Demange are frontrunning for the position.

Casting

[edit]

In April 2017, Daniel Craig mentioned he was open to returning for a final Bond film.[1] In August, he confirmed that he would return in the twenty-fifth film, hinting that it would be his last.[9] It is also likely that Naomie Harris will reprise her role as Miss Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q and Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner. Jeffrey Wright could reprise his role as Felix Leiter from Casino Royale, and Quantum of Solace. Christoph Waltz has stated that he would like to reprise his role as Ernst Stavro Blofeld two more times if Daniel Craig returns.[10] If the film continues from Spectre's plot, Lea Seydoux could possibly return for her role as Madeleine Swann and same for Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra and David Bautista as Mr. Hinx.

Filming
