Western Australia Police Service Medals
Service in the Western Australia Police (WAPOL) is recognized with the awarding of several medals. These medals represent service length, bravery and excellence. Whilst service in WAPOL may also qualify officers for other awards under the Australian Honours system, these awards do not fall within the system itself.

Whilst length of service is a major component, officer's must have provided "diligent and ethical service". Officer's may be delayed or even be deemed ineligible if subject to disciplinary action.
The obverse side of the medal features the Western Australia coat of arms with the scroll "Protect and Serve". The ribbon is blue and white representing the traditional policing colours.
