Past,Present & Future[edit]

System D-128 (also know as Duey FM) born Brian Torres Korlofsky is a Music Video & Film Director, Editor, Video Artist and Producer. He was born in New York City from both Puerto Rican and Russian descents, He was later raised in St.Croix U.S.V.I. and Florida. His most notable projects are creating videos for MF DOOM / King Geedorah "The Final Hour" off of the album Take Me To Your Leader and Madvillain "Shadows of Tomorrow" off of the album Madvillainy featuring Quasimoto and Sun Ra, the music video was included on the Stones Throw 101 DVD & CD as a secret easter egg in the extra credit section of the DVD(to access the content you need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the videos on the chalkboard then scroll right to the blue eraser and push play)He also created a political associated media piece for Bigg Jus formerly of Company Flow entitled "Silver Back Mountain King" which was released on the internet on September 11th 2004 on Stemspot.com his independent production company and website. Another notable project is creating a DVD that comes along with the first official Diplo record "Florida" on Big Dada / Ninja Tune Records in 2004, the album Florida was pressed twice, first with a CD and the second with a CD & DVD, before the Diplo Florida DVD there was another DVD that surfaced called Diplo "Banned in Libya" which was released by Money Studies, the 1st label to release a solo project by Diplo under his original DJ name Diplodocus, it was a 45 rpm record called "Thingamajawn" which there is also a music video for that System D-128 directed as well, similar to the Florida DVD "Banned in Libya" is an experimental audio & video mix of some of Diplo's music and other sources that are unknown. System D-128 also collaborated on a song with Diplo called "Blue Beards Dreams" which was later used by MF DOOM on the Viktor Vaughn release "Venomous Villain", the newer version of the track was then titled "Back End" System D-128 also produced the intro and the endtro of that particular record. He first got into audio and video during the video madness era that began with the introduction of vcr's, his Dad obtained a VCR and there was alot of recording happening in his household, this created a trend in his life where he started recording television programing on a regular basis, he later archived alot of the material and used it for audio and video mixes, source material for sample based productions, installations and as a visual backdrop for touring with different artists, he has done visuals for A-Trak, Mr.Scruff, RJD2, Atmosphere, EL-P, Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man and Redman, Justice, Glass Candy, Amanda Blank, Spank Rock and numerous others. Big Dada the same label that released full lengths by Bigg Jus, King Geedorah,Spank Rock and Diplo put together a 10 year retrospective DVD entitled "Well Deep" this DVD has amazing artwork, design and layout, it contains original music videos system d-128 has produced, directed and edited in their entirety, as well as a 30 minute video megamix of Big Dada music videos along with some never before seen content created exclusively for the megamix. In 2008 System D-128 had a full page article in the December URB Magazine Issue #156 covering numerous projects he was involved with creatively and upcoming video projects that are in the works.
