Powered Skateboard Racing Powered Skateboard Racing is a form of sport typically refered to as a form of Skateboarding and skateboard racing. Typically these forms of skateboard racing were without power and the skateboard or vehicle would be dependant on either the rider pushing the skateboard with their feet and legs or would be raced with the use of gravity pulling both rider and skateboard. The gravity assisted racing is typically refered to as Down Hill racing and the races have never been legally held with the approval of county or state officials and therefore have always been referred to as an outlawed sport. These competitions have caused many problems in society both with residents and motorists and even injury of the participants. Powered Skateboard Racing on the other hand is performed on a skateboard that has been powered either electrically or by a gas powered motor that is attached or configured to a skateboard as a propulsion system all;owing the rider or contestant to race against others while enjoying the fact that there is no pushing physically by the rider and gravity may or may not have any real affect on the race itself the Powered Skateboard Race has been approached in such away that competitions are held in a legally ascertained facility typiocally a velodrome or a legally permitted road or street that has been approved for use for the racing. It evolved from the Down Hill Racing League and which was always referred and ruin in an outlawed fashion. It was originally called Powerboarding and later evolved to be refered to as Powered Skateboard Racing.
